After the 65th General Assembly adjourned in May, the Colorado Horse Council (CHC) assessed the effects of the past session's legislation on the Colorado horse industry. As lobbyists hired by the CHC to represent horse interests throughout the state, the firm of Williams & Behrends monitored about 40 specific pieces of legislation, and took an active role in pressing for passage or defeat of many. |

Edward L. Squires received the 2005 “Horse Person of the Year” award presented by the Colorado Horse Council at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo. Professor Squires was honored just prior to the Friday evening program featuring Clinton Anderson on March 10, 2006. The award has been presented each year for 24 years beginning in 1981 to a person who has made significant contributions to the equine industry. |
