History comes to life March 8th for children at two Denver elementary schools when six massive black Percheron horses Texas Thunderpulling an elegant antique wagon high-step onto campus. Harnessed together as the famous Priefert "Texas Thunder" Hitch, the horses gallop, reverse, and turn on a dime in a thrilling demonstration of the true meaning of horsepower, then teamster Jason Goodman and his crew will follow up with an entertaining and educational talk about draft horses and their place in American history.
tudents at Garden Place Elementary School will welcome the Hitch at 10 a.m., then the outfit will rumble down the road to Swansea Elementary School for a 1 p.m. demonstration. The Rocky Mountain Horse Expo thanks Priefert Ranch Equipment for making the “Texas Thunder” appearances possible, and Denver Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Happy Haynes for facilitating the visits to the schools.

“Texas Thunder” will appear daily at the Rocky Mountain Horse Texas ThunderExpo, which also brings you clinics, demonstrations, horse sales, shopping and more—March 9-11 at the National Western Complex. Visit www.RockyMountainHorseExpo.com for more information and event schedules, or call (303)292-4981. Colossally educated horses are just part of the show at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo.
