At the Colorado Horse Council Annual Meeting: Communication strategist Laura Benjamin will speak on “Words that Work”

When the Colorado Horse Council Board of Directors met this summer for their strategic planning update, they covered a lot of material in a short time thanks to the expert help of facilitator Laura Benjamin of Colorado Springs. The board invited her to share some insights about effective communication with the CHC members, which she will do as the featured speaker at the CHC Annual Meeting, November 9.

Laura’s topic isWords That Work: How to Raise Your Personal Persuasion Quotient

and Build Better Business and Community Relationships.” Her particular focus is in boosting interpersonal communication skills. She presents her information in an interactive, informative and entertaining program that she promises “will provide practical strategies and hands-on tips to help results-oriented individuals tap into the ‘softer side’ of personal power.”

Laura is president of Pinehurst Press Ltd. Communication Strategies, a woman-owned, veteran-owned communication consulting, facilitation, publishing and professional speaking business based in Colorado Springs. Since 1997, Laura has helped individuals, teams and leadership boards throughout the US, Canada and Europe better communicate who they are, what they want, what they've done and what they can do for others. Clients include the State of Florida Department of Children and Families, U.S. Army Directorate of Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Fort Carson, Junior Achievement, Colorado Fund for People with Disabilities, Good will Industries and National Association of Educational Procurement, among many others.

The Colorado Horse Council Annual Meeting will be held November 9 beginning at 1 p.m., at the Hal Littrell Pavilion in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, 101 Pro Rodeo Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80919.
