The knowledge you bring to the CHC: I bring the unique perspective of urban youth equestrian programs to Colorado Horse Council’s Board as the co-founder of The Urban Farm, a 501 (c) 3, non profit that teaches agricultural and environmental education to urban kids. The Farm, which is in the heart of Northeast Denver, is home to more than 50 horses and teaches horsemanship education to more than 400 youth each year. How you can benefit the CHC and its members: General horse industry back round. What you do in your spare time: In truth, I don’t have much spare time, but when I find some I golf. The types of horses you own/ride: I personally own American Paint and American Quarter Horses. The Farm, however, has mini’s, draft horses, Arabs, Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods and POA’s so, in a sense, I work with and ride many breeds. The discipline you are interested in: Western riding, jumping, trail riding. I would spend more time on dressage, but I get bored.
