USEF Licensed “R” Dressage , “R” Dressage Sport Horse Judge and “r” Western Dressage,USDF Certified Instructor Training to Fourth Level,USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Rider Medals, AHSA Hunt Seat Medal
Current Rocky Mountain Dressage Society President
I have been riding with instruction since age 8 and showing in AQHA, Appaloosa, AHSA/Open, Eventing, Hunter/Jumpers and Dressage. I have had the opportunity to ride with several well-known Clinicians and Trainers over the past 45 years. My passion is dressage now and I have spent the last 35 years concentrating on improving my knowledge and riding skills.
I have had the privilege to train some talented horses and each one has given me the chance to become a better rider. In 2012 my goal to train and compete a horse to Grand Prix was achieved. With that goal accomplished I am now working on upgrading my judging credentials.
As a Trainer and Instructor I strive to help both the horse and rider to enjoy the journey of dressage through positive reinforcement and clear achievable goals. I get excited every time a student/client finds the harmony in riding and especially when they achieve an award.
Students have earned their Bronze and Silver medals as well as Rocky Mountain Dressage and USDF Year End Awards. Students include Junior/Young Riders in both Dressage and Eventing. Several have qualified and attended the Junior/Young Rider Championships. Adult Amateur Riders compete in both Dressage, Eventing and Western Dressage.
As a judge I enjoy watching horses and the training needed to perform a quality test. When a horse and rider demonstrate harmony and skill I am thrilled to give that high score. It is a pleasure and privilege to judge horses and riders
