Evidence For Equine Therapy
This presentation will provide evidence-based research and support for Equine Assisted Therapy. It will also discuss the problems with subjective psychological evidence. The presentation will consider the evidence-based research through the lens of objective reasoning and provide participants with a solid basis for asserting that Equine Assisted Therapy is effective and provide academic peer reviewed papers on the subject.

Russell Granger
10th Mountain Equine
Russell Granger is a retired Colorado District Court Judge who served on the court for 25 years. He has presented lectures nationally on the rules of evidence and has ruled upon evidentiary issues in all types of cases including complex civil litigation and first-degree murder cases.
Russell is deeply involved in the equine world and serves as one of the founding directors for 10th Mountain Equine, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides equine assisted activities and therapy. He presented a lecture and discussion at the Colorado Judicial Conference in 2019 regarding evidence-based support for equine therapy and how equines may be used in the Colorado Court System.
