Colorado’s Equine Community Leads with Collaboration

A Season of Growth Colorado’s Equine Community Leads with Collaboration In partnership with Colorado State University Colorado Horse Council

This November marks a season of reflection, gratitude, and growth within Colorado’s equine community. Across the state, horse owners, trainers, breeders, youth riders, and organizations are coming together to strengthen the bond between people and horses — proving once again that collaboration is the heart of our industry.

At the forefront of this shared progress is the Colorado Horse Council (CHC), working in partnership with Colorado State University (CSU) on the Colorado Equine Needs Assessment Survey — an important initiative designed to better understand the challenges, priorities, and opportunities shaping the future of our state’s horse industry.

From boarding and breeding to education, welfare, and youth programs, this collaborative project aims to ensure that every part of Colorado’s equine ecosystem is supported through informed decisions and strong community input.

As we move toward the end of 2025, CHC extends heartfelt gratitude to every horse owner, professional, and enthusiast who continues to share their time, insight, and passion. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected, and forward-focused equine industry for generations to come.
